Supported by Montford Point Marine Association

“ The men of Montford Point are true Pioneers, for they have walked the hallowed grounds of Montford Point Camp, and persevered during a time of Racial Divide and despondency in a society that didn’t want them. They had to “Fight for the Right to Fight.” We must continue to champion the cause for the preservation of the legacy of these 20,000 African American heroes. For this is not just Black history, or Marine Corps History. This is American History, and the World should know that the Montford Point Marines paved the way for thousands of others to follow.”

- Dr. James T. Averhart Jr, National President, Montford Point Marine Association
